Kiss myAsthma

Kiss myAsthma is an app designed with and for young people with asthma that we launched on World Asthma Day (2 May). It supports users in learning how to set smart goals via interactive dialogues with "monster assistants", and includes educational content in the form of "Daily tips" and resources.

Working with asthma experts, I facilitated participatory workshops with young people to allow them to actively contribute to the design of the app, and the insights gleaned from this collaboration were invaluable. Incorporating the lived experience and ideas of young co-designers, I created an interaction design and user interface design which takes into account the psychological experience of being young with asthma, as much as the physical experience of managing this chronic illness.
