Dorian Peters is a designer, author, and specialist in design for learning and wellbeing who works at the Faculty of Education and Positive Computing Lab at the University of Sydney.

Her award-winning work in eLearning includes corporate eLearning and interfaces for educational technologies. Dorian has designed for universities such as Carnegie Mellon and Cambridge, and corporations such as Westpac Bank and Sony Music. In her current work she is exploring how design can support resilience, autonomy, and compassion in health-related and other digital experience.

Her books include Interface Design for Learning (New Riders Press) and Positive Computing: Technology for wellbeing and human potential (forthcoming from MIT Press).  She also publishes articles on design in journals, trade magazines and academic conferences.

Originally from Los Angeles, she started her career on a Lite-Brite in the 80s, and later got degrees in Writing, Directing and Multimedia including a Masters in Multimedia Design from The University of Sydney and a Bachelors from Carnegie Mellon.
